Pre‑equipped for remote functions in the Mercedes me App**

Using the Mercedes me App, you can conveniently control charging sessions from your smartphone. You receive information on the charging status as well as a transparent overview of your charging history. To do so, the Wallbox simply connects to the Internet via the customer’s WLAN/LAN or, if required, via LTE‑M***.

Safety has top priority

The integrated components (6 mA DC residual current detector) provide additional protection during charging for the vehicle, the home installation, and the Wallbox. In addition, the Mercedes‑Benz Wallbox can be unlocked or locked to prevent unauthorized use via the Mercedes me App or using an RFID card (available soon).**

Always up to date – Over‑the‑Air updates

The Mercedes‑Benz Wallbox can perform software updates “Over‑the‑Air” via the customer’s WLAN/LAN or, if required, via LTE‑M***. For example, you may receive new functions in the future for integrating the Wallbox into an energy management system. To use the “Over‑the‑Air” software functions, approval must be granted via the Mercedes me App.**

Installation

If you are interested in a professional Wallbox installation, please contact our installation partner in the respective country. Installation is not included in the purchase price; however, you will receive a cost overview from our installation partner, who will also be happy to check on site whether a Wallbox can be installed at your home. For installation, an Internet connection via LAN, WLAN or LTE‑M*** is required. Further information is available after purchasing the Wallbox or from your local Mercedes‑Benz dealer. Please note: Installation of the Mercedes‑Benz Wallbox must be carried out exclusively by appropriately qualified professionals and is not intended for installation by the end consumer.
